Hi Internet Photographers!
I decided to start writing here to add some color to the less talked about lenses in the Nikon line up. In the summer of 2019, I agonized over the purchasing decision for the 500 PF. I spent hours on online forums, YouTube, and even translating foreign blogs over Google Translate to attempt to get a better idea of the exotic telephoto game at the time. At the end of the day I took a leap of faith by getting the 500 PF and I’m thankful it worked out wonderfully, but I would love to reduce the stress for you that I went through in making that purchase of the 500mm PF.
But enough with the reason behind the writing, let me introduce myself. I’m Kevin Fohrer, a Los Angeles based photographer with a passion for getting out of my concrete jungle to photograph the megafauna and landscapes in the more wild parts of the globe. Portraits and Branding shoots form the majority of my portfolio though as I’m no where near National Geographic’s radar at the moment (unless there’s something they haven’t told me…).
I’m a Nikon shooter, but am multilingual in the camera world, having previously shot with Canon and Fuji. I want to have as open of a dialog as possible, so if you have any questions about lenses or cameras, don’t hesitate to reach out or leave a comment!
